Swasthya Jagrukta Melas in 70
districts of Uttar Pradesh - Year 2007-08": |
| SIFPSA has funded two Swasthya Jagrukta Melas
organized through CMOs, in each of the 70 districts
of UP.These melas were organized in two remote
unserved/underserved blocks of every district.
Theses health melas had an average attendance of
4000 to 5000. A total of 123 melas were
organized out of proposed 140. |

Sensitization of political leaders and community
in regard to mother and child health and population
issues in 33 SIFPSA districts: |

| This was implemented at two level i.e. District
level & Block level. The activities involved
development & distribution of Janchetna Abhiyan
Booklet to participants. During the workshops films
on population and RCH issues were also played. Out
of 417 block level workshops proposed 416 were
organized. Similarly out of 44 district level
workshops (one in each of the 33 districts, and two
in 11 Mahanagars), 43 workshops were conducted. |

Enhance reproductive Health Knowledge among
Adolescents of Degree Colleges and Non Degree
College going in the age group of 17-21 years in
district of Allahabad and Meerut: |

With the objective to equip adolescents and youths
with knowledge and skills required for making
informed choice in respect to their health and
behaviours, and enabling them to cope with physical,
emotional and psychological changes during
puberty two projects are being initiated. Under
the project 200 villages and 15 Degree colleges
(Govt./Govt. Aided and private) each will
covered in both the districts. This activity
will continue to be operational during 2008-09
as well. |
