Centre of Excellence (COE) for
No Scalpel Vasectomy and related activities, at
Department of Urology, CSSMU, University, Lucknow: |

In order to create pool of service providers in
NSV and static service centre Centre of
Excellence (COE) for No Scalpel Vasectomy and
related activities, at Department of Urology,
CSSMU, University, Lucknow was established. At
this site NSV Induction, Refresher and TOT
Trainings are being conducted, thereby creating
a pool of trained providers for conducting NSV
Camps. In addition to above camps are also held
at selected out reach sites.At COE, 93 doctors
have been given induction training,41 refresher
training and 7 doctors on TOT in NSV technique. |

Up-gradation of Skills of Service Providers in
Family Planning Techniques: |
During IFPS Phase-II, SIFPSA has continued the
training of female steruilization techniques, EmOC
and NBC, RTI/STI training. All the trainings were
given at Medical college level and districts
adjacent to medical college were attached. CSMMU, Lucknow, SN
Medical College, Agra, GSVM, Medical College, Kanpur
and LLRM, Medical College, Meerut were involved
during 2006-08 for imparting these trainings. In CSMMU, Lucknow,
provision of training of private doctors in
Laparoscopic Tubal Ligation Induction training has
been made, in which with a nominal registration
amount, any doctor with desired qualification can
undertake the training. So far 3 private doctors
have been trained in Laparoscopic induction
training. SIFPSA has even trained the
2 surgical teams of Sikkim for Laparocpic Tubal
Ligation Induction training on the request of Govt.
of Sikkim to assist the national programme.
Infection Prevention Training:-
During IFPS-Phase-I SIFPSA has trained service
provider and paramedics of 45 district of UP. In
IFPS-Phase –II in remaining districts, SIFPSA has
planned to train service provider and paramedics of
CHC/PHC and District hospital(M&F) For this
training, district trainers of 25 districts were
trained at medical colleges and these trained
district trainers are giving On Site Whole Site IP
training at identified sites.Thereafter total 3317
hospital staffs(including paramedics and class IV)
were trained at their worksite in 175 CHCs/BPHCs/District
hospitals of 25 districts.
